Is hereby given that, in accordance with sections 286 and 287 of the Education Act, the Council of Commissioners of the New Frontiers School Board will receive the Financial Statements and the Auditor’s Report of the New Frontiers School Board for the 2022-2023 school year which ended on June 30, 2023, at the regular meeting of December 5, 2023, at 19:00 hours. A summary of the School Board’s financial statements can be examined here .

August 3, 2023 - Public Notice of By-Election, Division #10, Huntingdon

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to the electors of the New Frontiers School Board by Luisa Benvenuti, Returning Officer, that the following position is open for nominations:

Commissioner, Division #10 “Huntingdon”

Nomination papers may be filed at the office of the Returning Officer on the following days and times:

  • Thursday, August 10, 2023 – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm;
  • Friday, August 11, 2023 – 10:00 am to 12:00 noon; and by the latest, on
  • Sunday, August 13, 2023 – 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

If two or more candidates are nominated for this position, a poll will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; an advance poll will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from noon to 8 p.m.

A period of revision of the electoral list for Division 10 only will be held from August 21 – 25, 2023; exact dates and locations to be confirmed.

Electors who do not have a child admitted to educational services in the English language school board or the French language school service centre that covers their home address may choose to exercise or revoke their right to vote at an English language school board. This choice is made by sending the Notice, found on the NFSB website (www.nfsb.qc.ca) to the Returning Officer, by August 29, 2023.

Public Notice is hereby given that in conformity with Article 9 of the Quebec Act Respecting School Elections, public notice is herby given that the territory of the New Frontiers School Board has been divided, in principle, into the following ten (10) electoral divisions for the purposes of school elections scheduled to take place on the first Sunday in November 2024.

Notice to the reader

The electoral wards are described in clockwise direction.
The use of the words:  street, avenue, boulevard, road, and river is understood to be the median line, unless otherwise stated.
The use of the back lot line of a road indicates that the boundary passes behind the property line of those buildings that face the road in question.
All administrative boundaries used in these descriptions are those that were in place as of February 13, 2023.

A draft version of the division-in-principle may be viewed at the offices of the New Frontiers School Board located at 214 McLeod Avenue, Chateauguay, Quebec, during normal office hours (Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Fridays, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm).

Objections to the proposed divisions must be submitted in writing to the Director General at the aforementioned address, by 4:30 pm on Monday, June 26, 2023. If the Director General receives more than 100 objections to the proposed division, the Council of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the matter.
